AKU's 1st (inaugural) social event July 25, 2009!

It was a wonderful AKU social event that enjoyed a superb turnout! Hats go off for the Eringos' (Wambui & Kobia) for their unparalleled organization and hosting skills -- Wambui, the group will definitely miss you...fare thee well! Similarly, AKU's interim officials would like to extend MUCH gratitude to ALL AKU members (and their families and friends) for their turnout, time & material contributions that enabled the event to attain such exemplary success -- the mouth watering nyama choma, kachumbari, rice, chapos, mandaos and a plethora of drinks (just to mention a few), went beyond expectations! THANK YOU ALL!

We welcome all the newly selected AKU-area reps for the various Utah regions -- you'll be very valuable in linking AKU to all Kenyans (and their families) in Utah -- both currently in Utah and those new (future) Kenyans who will come to Utah. All members should keep eyes peeled and alert the officials & reps as the identify/meet Kenyans around Utah. With the reps on board, we'll now engross ourselves in drafting and circulating the AKU's by-laws for your review and implementation thereafter.

We love you ALL! Stay tuned as more events will soon be on. Don't forget to visits with AKU's treasurer (Priscilla) and start remitting your annual membership fee. This is your association, build it and move it to the net level!

Please, see AKU's yahoo group for details on more snaps at the fete, visit AKU's yahoo groups (http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/aku-09/)...under PHOTOS link and facebook, to witness for yourselves! Email me any other different snaps that you may have taken at the event which you may wish to share with others and I'll upload too.

God bless.
